Iowa County 4H Horse Show
- August 2nd, 2008
- Due to the fact that the 4H State Dog Show was scheduled for the same weekend we normally hold our horse show, we have had to move the show to an earlier weekend. The board has done their best to pick a date that will work for most, but realize they cannot please everyone. Last year, more than half the members that showed at the county horse show also participated in the state dog show. Hopefully next year, the hosting county will pick a different date for the state dog show.
Because our show will be much earlier, your fair entries will be due July 18th!
Our judge will be Lynne Levy.

New Show Requirements
- 2 Clinics with horse
- To be eligible to participate in the Iowa County 4H Horse Show, members must attend 2 clinics with their horse.
In the past, participation in drill team was considered a clinic. Drill team participation will no longer fulfill your clinic requirements.
You must attend 2 clinics with your horse. Please see our calendar for clinic dates. Additional clinics may be offered at a later date. Please check back.
- 4H members and families must voluteer 2 hours per member and parents need to volunteer 1 hour.
For volunteer opportunities, please contact a board member or attend a board meeting.

4H State Expo
- September 11-14, 2008
- There will be no Hippology at State Expo this year. If you are interested in participating in the state hippology contest, it will take place May 3rd at the state horse bowl competition in Wausau.
More information is available on the calendar
- Cheryl Hartman has pulled together a group of members that are planning on attending state expo. They are coming up with ideas for stall decorations. If you are interested in learning more about the opportunities available at state, please contact Cheryl Hartman or come to a board meeting. There are numerous activities that do not involve hauling a horse!!!
