Requirements

The success of the horse project depends greatly on volunteers. A volunteer is one who donates their knowledge, time and/or resources to help those eager to learn.

Membership requirements

• 2 hours of volunteer time per member.
• 1 hour of volunteer time per family.
• Attend two clinics with your horse.

Horse Requirements

• Current negative coggins. Rider must have both the original and a copy with their horse AT ALL TIMES!!
• Proof of vaccines. Rider must have both original and a copy of their receipts or proof of vaccination with their horse AT ALL TIMES!!! Currently, flu and tetnus are required.
• Every horse used in a 4-H sanctioned event must be ID'd.

Rider Requirements

• ASTM/SEI Certified Helmets must be worn by EVERY rider at any 4-H sanctioned event!
• $2.00 insurance fee must be paid by ANYONE wishing to ride in any 4-H sanctioned event. This is paid yearly.
