Home of the Iowa County 4-H Horse Project

Mission

Our mission is to provide and coordinate various horse activities in Iowa County to encourage 4H youth to become responsible and active equine enthusiasts.

About Us

The ICHP offers many opportunities for 4-H youth from Iowa County. An elected board that consists of adults and 4-Hers lead a monthly meeting where ongoing projects and new events are discussed, planned and evaluated.
And the best part is, you don't even have to own a horse!
Activities that do not require a horse include the following:
Model Horse, Horse Clothing, Horse Bowl, Competitve Juding Team, clinics and seminars.

Activities that require a horse include the following:
Drill Team, Competitive Trail Riding, English and Western Clinics, horse shows and Ride 4 Fun.
So, you see, there are many options for you!
For more information, please visit enrollment options.

Our Clinics

The ICHP also offers many clinics throughout the year. Based on feedback from project members, we organize approximately 6 clinics a year. We do our best at finding qualified clinicians. No one has been disappointed yet! So if there are any clinics you would like to see the project offer, be sure to attend one of our board meetings! You can find our meeting schedule on the calendar.

Now What?

Whether you own a horse, borrow a horse, or are horse-less, there is something for you. Check out our enrollment options. Once enrolled, you can participate in the horse "activities" such as Horse Bowl, Drill Team, Judging Team, etc. You must be a project member to participate in the activities.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us or the 4-H extension office!
Thank you for visiting!
